My name is Lee, I've recently turned 30 - about to turn 31 and have recently moved to Sydney from Melbourne a little over a year ago where my entire life has completely changed.

My whole life has been confusing and lots of it had never made any sense whenever I went over it all in my head. I never saw or spent time with my family but whenever it was it was always my Nana. I started school when I was 4, being quite intelligent my parents decided not to hold me back. I was the youngest by at least a year and never fit in. I was singled out, picked on and found it extremely hard to connect with anyone except for a very select few.

School was not for me though. I got through primary school just fine but the struggle was high school. I broke my leg and ankle 2 weeks into year 7 and didn't have any primary school friends to lean on. I spent the entire first year of high school at home, in bed with my leg wrapped in plaster which didn't allow me to sit or stand. I had to learn how to walk again and ended up going back to school to see the last couple of weeks of year 7. Nobody in my class knew who I was so I was pretty much back socially where I was at the start of primary school. I wagged every day of year 8 but still managed to get the top marks in the class despite this. In year 9, my principle gave me a break because she knew everything that was going on and that life had been cruel to me. I was selected to go on a 3 week study exchange tour of the Jiangsu Province in China. 3 days after my 15th birthday, I was walking the Great Wall of China and learning about an entirely different culture, history - everything for the first time.

The first half of my 20's was awful and was stuck working my life away but my life changed again when I met my partner instead of doing the usual things that you do in your 20's...

I moved to Sydney a little over a year ago with my partner, late November, just before the summer peak and had a job lined up in my dream career/industry (so I thought), 3 months rent paid in advance for a tiny little 30sqm studio and settled in quite nicely...
